Meet Shawn Boskie – a former professional Chicago Cubs baseball player who is now involved in making movies. He’s the guy who brought a wonderful group of people together not once but twice!
The first trip was to Scotland – 8 keen golfers and their lovely wives who wanted to experience the best Scotland had to offer. Their trip started and finished in Edinburgh where they stayed in the Balmoral hotel, before moving on to Gleneagles for two nights and then to St Andrews for a further 3 nights.
The golf was challenging because the weather wasn’t kind but the guys didn’t flinch and the ladies didn’t mind as they visited Glamis Castle and toured Edinburgh, St Andrews and Blair Atholl.
We had a wonderful week in Scotland and everyone was sad when the time to go home arrived, but then two years later we met up again.
This time we started in Dublin before heading to Killarney and finally to Cork. The golf was phenomenal and the weather was great. Playing classic courses like Waterville and Ballybunion as well as The Island course in Dublin was wonderful but the last round on Old Head was just phenomenal. It’s a spectacular course.
It’s hard to explain how lasting friendships can be formed in such a short space of time, but they did.
At the end of the week, on our last evening together, we promised we would visit them in Arizona and we did just that in December 2023. We often say that our tours have those who arrive as clients but leave as friends and that is certainly true in Arizona.
So thank you Shawn, Pam and all of our friends in Arizona. Here’s to the next time!
