One of Scotland’s hidden gems

Many hands have shaped Nairn Golf course since its inception in 1887 to create one of the best golfing experiences in this area. From Andrew Simpson (‘Keeper of the Green) to Old Tom Morris to James Braid, the course has developed and evolved over time. It is without doubt one of Scotland’s ‘hidden gems’. Located on the Moray Firth coastline, Nairn offers one of the most spectacular seaside courses in Scotland, boasting sea views from every hole.

Nairn is a delightful links with fast, firm but narrow fairways framed by gorse and heather. The sea is in play on six of the first seven holes so make sure you keep that ‘power fade’ for another day when playing Nairn! The greens are sited in the trickiest of places, some raised while others are nestled in hollows. A renowned ‘trademark’ of Nairns are the fast and true greens. If you are keen for a ‘36 hole day’ the Nairns second course, the Cameron Course or it’s nearby sister course Nairn Dunbar Golf Course offers a good option.
