An inspiring place for golf
The European Club is located some 30 miles from Dublin in County Wicklow. Designed by Pat Ruddy and opened in 1993, The European Club offers a quite unique golfing experience.
This is an inspiring place to play golf. The European Club enjoys pure linksland that is highlighted by impressive sand dunes and varied terrain set against the back cloth of the Irish Sea.
It’s a bit of a monster too! The 18 hole layout spread over 7000 yards, a challenging par 71 with two ‘additional par 3’s, no 7a and 12a, make up the par 77, 20 hole layout – they are worth adding to your round and make a refreshing break from tradition. The long grass outside the fairways can be unrelenting, the driving zones tight and the bunkering penal – all of which contribute to the European Club’s reputation as the toughest course in the Republic of Ireland.
The European Club is a most enjoyable and memorable course – an absolute must play golf course.
