Sample Itinerary

Here at The Links Connection we will always work with you at the planning stage before we arrive at your final itinerary. We know that by exploring your options and making suggestions or listening to your thoughts, we will end up with a week of golf and activities that meet your needs.

However the sample itinerary for just over a week in Dublin, shown below, will give you some idea of what your week with us might look like.

Day 1 – on arrival

We will be at the airport to meet you, take care of your luggage and head for your hotel. If you’re staying in the centre of Dublin there will be ample opportunity to explore the city and all it has to offer.

Day 2 – THE ISLAND COURSE

Your first round of golf. We will collect you and drive 20 minutes to The Island Club, stay with you while you warm up and see you off on the first. We will take photographs and be there to see you return on the 18th hole.

Day 3 – PORTMARNOCK OLD

Just 10 miles outside the city lies Portmarnock and the ancient links that is one of the most respected venues in golf.  (Next door is the Portmarnock hotel with its very own course -The Jameson links. You may wish to stay here instead of the city centre – the choice is yours)

Day 4 – sightseeing, DUBLIN

Take a day off from golf and enjoy the sights of the city. Explore the historical Trinity College with its ancient Book of Kelly’s manuscripts, or perhaps visit the Guinness factory to see how the famous brew is made. Soak up the atmosphere of this most welcoming city which has so much to offer in addition to wonderful golf.

Day 5 –  ROYAL DUBLIN

Although the Royal Dublin is located on an island nature reserve, it is in fact found in the heart of the city. Christy O’Connor – an Irish legend in these parts – was the club professional for 57 years and the course is worthy of his attachment. At 7500 yards from the tips, it’s a stern challenge.

Day 6 – THE EUROPEAN

Consistently rated in the top ten links courses in Ireland, The European is a private club that welcomes visitors. Located just south of Dublin it offers sweeping sea views front nineteen of the twenty holes …… Yes there are 18 holes plus two extra par 3s!!!

Day 7 –  THE K CLUB

The K Club is reputed to be the top golf resort in Ireland. Set in 550 acres, it offers two parkland courses designed by Arnold Palmer and hosted the Ryder cup in 2006.

Day 8 – homeward bound

We will collect you and transfer you to the airport, stay with you through check in and see you off safely.
